Blind

So much time went by
and so many changes took place,
and you still make me cry
by smashing past in my face.

Don't you see me struggle?
Don't you see me try?
Don't you see the things that I left behind?

You say that I'm fake
but when I'm sad you diss me.
Why then should I show you
what you don't want to see ?

And all the things you say
hurt and they don't go away
unlike your moods
which swing up and down three times a day.

I was a liar, I was a thief,
but I'm not anymore.
What should I do
to make you believe?

Just open your eyes
and stop being naive.
You see, there's no lies.
Now, sigh with relief.

Because I'm allright,
well, almost, let's say,
I'll just leave you here blind.
Goodby, farewell.

Keep believing your own reality, as others are only responsible for their perception of it & well...if they can't appreciate the revised version, it's really their loss. Easier said than done, I know...you might want to read my, "Why Can't You See Me?". 'Til then, Right on & write on...

Nice write. Sometimes shaking off the past means leaving someone or some things behind. In order to move on
