The Beast Within

Contributed by the_wampum_pimp on Monday, 27th November 2006 @ 09:40:58 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Beasts walk among us everywhere,
Yet all refuse to see,
Still, not one now can compare,
To the beast in me.

Beasts with forms oh so disfugured,
Crawl forth from the depths,
Their evil actions triggered,
By misguided steps.

As I succumb to daily stress,
The Beasts consume my soul,
So that now I must confess,
I have no control.

Don't you grasp the implications?
Beasts live in us all,
Rising with our altercations,
As our morals fall.

My God please help the Beast within,
Lend strength to everyone,
Remove us from our darkest sin,
And heal the damage done.

In Carlos Casteneda's last book 'The Active Side of Infinity" he reveals that his mentor trained him for years to face the 'monstous beast' as a parasite and to shake it off by exacerbating its needs and complaints. he states the 'parasite has no concentration' it cant sustain an attack but through nudging and concerns of 'self reflection, self pity, and self importance' it takes the rules our lives as food and susteneance. This claim is made from a pruported source in Meso America going back 25 thousand years in a unbroken lineage. Whose to say really but it is efforts like yours and with your closing prayer one might at least be able face and perhaps contain the inner beast.

Good Job
AJ

Hmmm... Creepy. :D Lol, I liked the prayer at the end.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
