Flawless

Contributed by doug on Monday, 27th November 2006 @ 09:08:27 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

FLAWLESS.

The dishes are clean ,
obscenely pristine
in this monstrous slant
of the light.
The orchids are flawless
and solice is dreaming
of home as they quietly die.
These comforts I've known ; so comfortably cold ,
I fear I am good company.
They hunger for life
but I've none to give...
for I am as flawless as they.

There seems to be a lot that was left unsaid here, which as a reader, tweaks my interest. The wording all seems very deliberate, and yet it's still quite veiled. I enjoyed the read nonetheless, and the author's note was a great intro.
Keep it up!

Short but to the point. Excellently done. Sometimes I don't think people know what they want when they want to be perfect.

Oh... my...

What an excruciating depiction... beauty in all of its forms, yet many forget (or wish not to acknowledge) the splendor in decay... It is flawless to you, and you are just so... Undeniably riveting. This spoke to me...

And as a lone tear dances down my cheek, I smile solemnly... For I know how it feels to be an orchid...

Thank you so much, my friend, for this... There are no words to describe it, nor will there ever be. Divinity like this... does not deserve mere expressions... It deserves silent worship.

Completely, and utterly overwhelmed. You have a flawless soul. Never cease to pour it onto paper... It would be a very tragic loss if you did. Peace and love.

~Fleur.
