It looks as if it's Tuesday
Think I'll buy myself a case
It's two dollar liquor drinks
And I have class at eight
Well, since it's Tuesday
My head ought to rest on the bar
Everyone is laughing
And I feel so far....
Away
I love that it's Tuesday
Soon my head will start to spin
I'll drown my insecurities
With a bottle of Beefeater Extra Dry gin
Come stay with me, it's Tuesday
I should deserve to be alone
Somewhere there is an end to things
I just want to go home
I shame myself because it's Tuesday
Smashed, I miss my beautiful mother
And I want to cry for all the things I lose
And I want to cry for my baby brother
Tuesday comes too fast
Tuesday stays too long
I don't want to be noticed
I don't want to be wrong
With a smile
I take my drink and go
I just want to feel something
Something that is just so....

I liked this poem. Kind of had a 'middle of a crowd but all alone' feel to it. And the searching of self....good write. I enjoyed reading it.
