I should tell you
How I really feel.
How I long to be with you
And make our love real.
I should tell you
How scared I am.
Scared to tell you the truth
Scared you’ll think it’s a sham.
I should tell you
I don’t care about your past.
My baggage is heavy too,
And just as vast.
I should tell you
Three words, simply true.
Three words I’m dying to say,
“I love you.”
