...Stolen Innocence...

Contributed by eternal_dreamer on Thursday, 23rd November 2006 @ 04:55:01 PM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

It was a day in early springtime
The afternoon sun shone bright
I was just a little girl back then
Playing beneath the sun’s light

I gazed at butterflies frolicking
Amidst the cool springtime sky
Their patterned wings reflected
Salient colors as they flew on by

As I played merrily in the meadow
Dad’s best friend strolled my way
He addressed me to come nearer
Telling me he’s got a game to play

He began to fondle my fragile body
In shock I congealed in complete fear
I stared dismally into his adult eyes
My emotions lead to bloodied tears

Like a beastly animal he penetrated
With each stroke he pushed deeper
Excruciating pain rendered me numb
Into unconsciousness I fell steeper

He whispered vaguely into my ear
His callous secret must never be told
With a shallow breath I closed my eyes
As I felt my battered body turn cold…

This is truly heartbreaking. Innocence taken in the most cruel way. Painful write , and so honestly done. I feel for your fiend, such a sad story. Sue x

This story is much too common...I know. But, by taking it out of the shadows, we take some of the power away from these monsters!

THANK YOU!!!

the story your poem tells chills my blood, but the memories that it stirs boil it. i have relitives that lived this, and now the man(if he can be called a man) that's responsible is due for a parole hearing some time this month. i hope for the worlds sake that he stays locked up. but if society is betrayed by the "justice" system and he values his life then he'll never set foot anywhere near my family.

this was a powerful read..it stirs many emotions in me, the greatest being anger... i'm not quite sure why things like this happen, but unfortunately it is much too common.. my heart goes out to all victims of such atrocities...

Sue, My goodness, this write gave me chills. I know too many young folks who have been through things like this, it is a tragedy. One must go through their whole lives, with this horrible memory. I feel anger and deep sadness when reading this. Thanks for writing with such brutal honesty, my friend.
Peace and hugs,
Laura

You capture both the innocence and the theft most effectively thank you for your bravery and sharing this which breaks the spell of his secret. More than Innocence was violated. Trust, self-awareness, sacredness, happiness, joy, ecstacy to name a few are all victimized.
The pedophile who did that should in turn suffer the wish of a thousand deaths each more horrible and cruel for taking away someones experience no less for making a child feel pain and cry.
Please allow for projecting testicular cancer on his sorry butt while serving a lengthy prison term.

May the Goddess always flow from you. May your muse heal every inch and cell of your being. May you forever be young and glorious...

Sweet Sweetest Dreams
AJ

Heart wrenching but be blessed for writing this for your friend.
I agree this story iss too true on this planet.
It'ss up to each generation to stop it.
I was abused by an uncle and a tender age. Usually the abuser has been abused but that don't make it right!
It's very sad but again bless you for writing this.
luv, huggs, prayers for yoour friend,
emy

Now I consider me a calm and nonviolent man, until I read something such as this, then I want just five minutes. That's all it takes. Five minutes for justice. And stolen innocence would never never happen again from the monster. Gripping and effective write, Sue.

Very tragic, unfortunately it
happens all the time. I wish the
culprit could read this poem to
see the pain and agony he had
caused on your friend. Excellent
write!

First, I commend you for your strength, it must have taken a lot to write this. And you wrote it well, it conveyed the emotions all too well, would that you didn't have to.
Take care, well written,
David
