From the ashes we'd fallen
And we'll rise from the blood of man
I haven't slept in a million years
But how long I've dreamed of this day
Today is the most important day of our life
Staring eternity in its face, I will fear not failure
For the heart's content will not let me
I walked from the past into your loving, warm embrace
And will not turn back to see the works of an empire fall down behind me
I pushed the moon to allow your eyes to light up my world
And my heart is held in the hand of she who captivates me
As I stalk the grounds of those fallen before me
I see the pictures dancing in flames
Goodbye: black and white
I've never slept on a canvas painted as beautifully as God created you
