Letting Go

It’s been months since I’ve seen your pretty face
Sick of these walls that confine me to this place
Guess there’s nothing I could say or do that will bring you back
Girl you know it kills me and that’s a fact
But I just can’t do this anymore
Can’t remember my heart ever feeling this sore
So I’ve got to just let go
Not that you’ll care, I just wanted you to know
No more Friday nights sitting home alone
No more sitting, waiting by the phone
You playing with my heart wasn’t ever any fun
You know what, forget this poem too, that’s how much I’m done…
