Alone But Never Lonely

I’m alone, but I’m never lonely
As long as my heart and soul can see
That from a distance you’re always there
From afar I feel this love we share
I’m quiet, but I’m never silent
As long as my heart is in torment
Of this distance between you and I
Such yearning I can never deny
I weep, but I’m never in sorrow
As long as we both have tomorrow
Waiting for us to be together
Spending time far beyond forever
I’m worn-out, but I’m never weary
As long as you’re right there, loving me
No matter how far we are apart
I know we’ll always be close at heart
I’m alone, but I’m never lonely
As long as you’re there waiting for me
To come back and show you all my ways
Of loving you the rest of my days

fair enough, but all loved ones peoms that come from the heart are regular, theyre expected, there is too many of the same old such and such, theyre has to be something in theyre that pounces out , strikes you, and draws you into the feeling of your text, maybe truthfull , heartfealt, but untill theyres that inspiration, id class it as just another bland love song ... but im an amateur, dont listen to me ..lol |

I disagree with Perodyn, (or whatever the name is). I believe this poem is beautiful and captures a lot of emotion that occurs in a "distance-challenged" love, if you know what I mean. You put the feeling of not being lonely when you're alone in good words, and that's what poetry is about. Putting feelings into good words. Thumbs up! |
