America

America can be great
We have to change before it's to late
Countries us can never tolerate
So lets raise our flag high
An freedom can forever fly

Life is full of hatred
Killing each other just for fun
Till we're all bloodly red
Tormenting others with a gun

Threatening others with a nuke
All this bull***** makes me puke
Acting like we're mighty high
Nation built on one big lie

America can be great
We have to change before it's to late
Countries us can never tolerate
So lets raise our flag high
An freedom can forever fly

A nation fat on greed
Evil isn't fit to breed
Gluttony is a sin
Acting like we're not kin

How'd we change into hate?
Was it a tragic curse of fate
What comes around goes around
I guess we're all just hellbound

America can be great
We have to change before it's to late
Countries us can never tolerate
So lets raise our flag high
An freedom can forever fly

But we've still got democracy
Too bad terrorists is all we see
One vs. all is what it'll be
Then no one will ever be free

We've got some truths
Buried beneath the lies
No wonder countries us despise

Terrorists trying to kill us
Nail bomb on a city bus
Injuying multiple civilian
They make the world watch by killing them

We're the greatest super power
Instead of gun take up the flower
Hippies are a thing of the past
To bad they have something that should last

The world says we're doing something wrong
But we've been arrogant all along
Why don't we listen to others
All the countries are our brothers

We ignore pleas of help
Only help countries that need
And bribe us as a "plead"

Why don't we give help to those who need it?
We're strong healthy and fit
ignoring genocide
An' terrorists trying to hide

America can be great
We have to change before it's to late
Countries us can never tolerate
So lets raise our flag high
An freedom can forever fly

Never fear, there's still a closet hippy or two out there! Case in point....Ta Da, here I am! I hear what you're sayin', but the thing of it is, these problems transcend borders & I think the key, or at least a place to begin, will be found when our humanity transcends those same borders & allows us to aspire towards the good of what needs to become a global community! Right on...write on...
