What is it that you’re fearing?
I believe that you care
My heart keeps on hoping
I pray not to find despair
I know not a direction
I watch closely to discern
Hoping to see affection
My heart does so yearn
It seems that my distress
Grows with your every flailing
With me, is life more or less?
Your decision could mean our failing
I want you to love me
Not see me as the others
To yearn for my proximity
And not just under the covers!
How many times will it repeat?
How long will it last?
Is your love’s heartbeat
Just a thing of the past
I’m so scared that I’ll lose you!
I hope I haven’t already
Skies will turn from gray to blue
My heart worth only to bury
You know how I feel
Maybe it shouldn‘t have been disclosed
To your heart I appeal
To our ending, I’m opposed!
The decision is yours
I can only hope and wait
There seems to be no recourse
You will decide our fate

wow
I felt the anguish in this flow.
the emotional torture is raw
and deep.
How long will you wait? |

What a heartfelt write. However I say YOU make your own fate. The other unable to appreciate may not be capable to know what they are missing. What excellent character shines through this piece as it is a confession of implosion not contrivance to simply get what one wants. Yet I hope the truth of heart is mended by facing the fears of love lost or unattained it is part of the process of developing the right thickness of skin to manage this life.
Good Job. Keep writing and posting.
Peace
