The Ringmaster

Contributed by trackiller2006 on Tuesday, 21st November 2006 @ 07:50:11 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I have walked across the lands for thousands of years
Ageless, faceless, fearless, painless
And yet in those same instances, old, ugly, afraid, and hurt
Old beyond my years because of being alone
Ugly because of the weight of the sins I carry
Afraid that my next breath may be my last
And hurt because I am shunned by the ones I care about most
But soon...all that would change with one opportunity
As I strode through the deserted wasteland that was my mind, a tall figure stood before me, blocking out the oppressive sun
"My son, your day of salvation is at hand! I can give you new life!"
"What do you ask in return, master?"
"An army of evil, of sin. You shall be my Ringmaster."
"Yes."
From that day forward I became a collector of souls, a harbinger of death
I became The Ringmaster in a Carnival of Sin
The Unholy Messenger of Doom
Religious...satanic. Good...evil. Giver and taker of life.
On that day...I became Sin Incarnate
The Devil...in the flesh.
