The many faults,
That I display,
Have made you turn
Your head away.
You then pretend
That you don’t see,
And always still
Keep loving me.
You look right by
The things most crass,
On toward the future,
And forget the past.
Now even on
My very worst days,
I see love still,
In your gorgeous gaze.
This gift you give
From within your chest,
Makes this man know,
He is most blessed.
For from your heart
And your deepest soul,
You made this half man
In your love whole!
