The hour was late,
The tower tall.
None had ever beheld such a sight
As the angel's fall.
Descending for years,
But leapt all at once,
Plotting of internal anger,
Death long among her wants.
Foot slipped its last,
Freedom as she flew.
The angel breaks,
If the world only knew.
Sadness pools, stains her last words,
They'll discover her at dawn,
The truth brought to light,
Of how terribly wrong
It was to drench the radiant angel in night.
