I'm starving for conversation
And they ration all their words
While my body shrinks in hunger
For adjectives and verbs.
Swollen tongues of arrogance
Leave me here to yearn
For the simple understanding
Of why my senses burn.
I'm ignited in constant wonder,
In question, and in thought
But my body is worn and tired
From the ignorance I've fought.
