desperate man

Contributed by PLformalyknownasPpaul on Monday, 20th November 2006 @ 05:40:52 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Hunted and wretched
He collapses in the sand
There’s a moth on my frost glass
The pilgrim cannot stand
The silk is all in ribbons
The angels are asleep
God turns his face away now
The hero gives his speech

I never asked for nothing
All I want is you
I traveled this world over
Many a pilgrim do
All my sins are counted
You had better walk away
I have seen what you are offering
I’m a desperate man today

Boil me up some coffee
I think I’ll come inside
My parents never understood me
But my priest he truly tried
Put the hood up love
I don’t want to see
When the feeling starts
What your hands are doing to me

Turn up the radio
The screaming is about to start
He cries with pleasure
He cries of a broken heart
The people on the street
Could never meet my eyes
Or look at the crazed junkies
Hooked on Golden lies
Creation was eroding
I just had to get away
That and a Woman’s lies
Older than yesterday
Come now elope me
Mistress of my flight
I’ve got a head full of ideas
I’m desperate man tonight
