Love is…
A rotting, grim perception,
Of fearing loneliness.
It chews its way to your heart,
Leaving nothing but a trail of pain.
It creeps deep under your skin,
The scars will tell the stories.
To love is to feel pain,
Constantly grasping its cold, fearless hand,
Over your helpless, lusting heart.
Scratching away at the cuts and burns,
To make you bleed, to make you love again.
But once the bleeding blurs,
The curtain of lust covers your sight.
Now it’s alright-
Now you can cry.
