An angel dressed in women’s skin
Corrupted by her human sin
She dabbled in arts beyond her control
Took hold of her purity
And sullied her soul
Took shine to this creature
This the devil himself
He promised her youth
Toasted to her health
Used her
And bruised her
To gain power and wealth
Then tossed her aside
Feeling stronger in his self
Angel eyes
That hold the rain
Morning due
Display of pain
Ignored redemption
She paid her price
Forgive me for rejection
Succumbing to the vice
Alas no sign
She’s beneath the wave
Condemned to earth
As commodities slave

There are dimensions here from the rich tapestry of judeo-christianity that apply to mordern psychology.
I like the scope of your poetic voice.

Your imagery is on of the best of I've ever read.. The point is very well conveyed with feeling like it's being forced upon the reader. I think you have quite a future when it comes to writing.
Eternally Punished,
Faust |
