The clown he wears a smile, for all the world to see,
Playing games he’ll make you laugh and set your spirit free.
Nothing seems to bother him, no burden brings him down,
And when he’s in your presence you’ll never see a frown.
He paints a mask upon his face, emotions in plain sight,
As though he’s in a perfect world and everything is right.
And as you watch each obstacle that gets into his way,
You’ll see him take it all in stride, it’s just another day.
But hidden from the audience, lies the man you do not know,
Who plays his part while you’re around, continuing the show.
But watch him close, look past the smile, the truth is what you’ll see,
There’s a deep unending pain inside, the clown you see is me.

Excellent write, yet again. Bravo. You make everything come together so beautifully although it is a very serious piece. Great job!

it's true...no one wants to show their feelings ...they can't ... so they hide...they become vunerable when they show feelings...and it hurts...but i am glad you over came that ...it shows how strong ...you reallly are...or how confused you like to make people...but I loved it. |
