We don’t need a break from your misguided charm,
Don’t need a break from your unjust alarm,
No need for a break from the mask you where,
Don’t need time off from your sadness or fear,
If there is any one thing that we need a break to
Buddy, we need a break from you
And you walk down three flights of stairs to sit with Mistress Anne
But you can’t fool her, no she knows and she understands
You’re a card too short from the deck, and we’re missing the nine of spades
So take a ride to town, look around; watch the crowbar’s parades
We don’t need a break from you and how you over analyze,
Don’t need a break from your hinting at our lies,
No need for a break from your tormented soul,
Don’t need time off from your great gaping hole,
If there is any one thing that we need a break to
Buddy, we need a break from you
And you sit at the seventies lounge with the great manipulator
He says and defines whether you should love or hate her
But in the end, it’s all your fault and you’ll just have to deal
With no one listener to you being a loser, or caring how you feel
We don’t need a break from what you say,
Don’t need a break on your mood swings day to day,
No need for a break from you being a friend ,
Don’t need a break but maybe an end
Cause, if there’s any one thing we need a break to
Buddy, we need a break from you
