Even you told me there was evil inside this good heart of mine
And you swore to me if I'd stay out of the dark I'd be fine
And I trusted you and I pleaded with you not to listen when my demons spoke
saying words so foul just to get them out of my throat I'd almost choke
And somewhere along the way there were thorns and there were knives
they tore and cut so deep that what we had between us died
as I spat at you these words of a black apparition it made me practice and recite
I spat at you these words of a black apparition that came in the night

a bitter and angry one! i like the darker ones, though, they're meatier, if you get me; a very good flow, rhyme scheme works well, and i enjoyed it very much,
