Sleep Eternally

Contributed by nothingness on Friday, 17th November 2006 @ 12:04:07 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

A girl so empty made up her mind
Looking for an escape she needs to find
Scared to death but wanting peace more
She is now more serious then ever before
She writes her letters explaining why
She seals the envelopes labeled “good bye”
She whispers I love you at her parents’ door
And she dropped and envelope on the floor
She slipped out the back and ran along ways
She arrived at the place she sat for many days
She took out a gun and held a note to her chest
Silence followed as she entered eternal rest
Morning came but the sun did not show
Clouds hung low but the wind didn’t blow
Nothing stirred in the valley filled with death
Everything mourning seemed its hold its breath
Soon her body was found with a note held tight
It told why she did it and why it was right
She asked to be left here on her friend’s grave
So she would no longer be a mourning slave
So there she was left to rest eternally
To be free to sleep in endless harmony

A very, very sad write here. I am truly sorry that you lost your friend. Suicide is never an answer to life's problems, but many people chose it over living through their problems. Again, I am very sorry for your loss.

Very sad but powerful write.

Mike
