It’s raining today, what difference does it make any ways,
Whether its sunny or raining, what does it change these days?
Leaves litter the lawn, their colours slowly turning,
Looked out to see a tree today, thought that it was burning,
Vibrant oranges, reds and yellows, fade to brown,
My smiles a little worrisome, I’ve turned it upsidown,
Skies a little gray today, painted bleak and colourless,
Smashing against the window, the raindrops are relentless,
I look beyond consciousness, and you’re nowhere to be found,
The times’ ticking away, as water sinks into the ground,
I’ll run out under God’s tears, to wash my sin’s away,
Drop down upon my knees, to cross my heart and pray,
What’s the point of existence, what am I meant to do?
I try to find the answer, but it always seems to fall through,
And look my pants are getting muddy, the white tainted black,
Is there any way at all, to reverse it and head back?
Child, what have you done, was it all commit in vain?
It was fun at the time, but now you still suffer with the pain,
Will I ever let go of it, well that’s for me to decide,
I can keep turning away; from the light to just hide,
The hardest part of all, is just to fix things now,
Discover the right path, and I’ll make a change somehow.
