Follow The White Lines

Contributed by LadyStrdust on Thursday, 16th November 2006 @ 04:35:04 PM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

Embrace the madness

Repress the sane

Tilt your head back

And drink the rain

Allow yourself

To experience

The undiluted pain

Then at least this trip

Was not in vain

Chemical confusion

A distortion of the mind

Indulge in my elusion

Follow the white lines

Let it explore you

There is no need for fear

Witness my enjoyment

Follow by example my dear

Imagine its whisky

And binge until it burns

It's not nearly as risky

If you try then you will learn

Religiously devoted

Adaptable to lies

Subconscious acceptance

Nothing matters

When you can fly

Tiny grains of crystal

That shine away the hurt

I was rich with all the diamonds

But they touched me

And it burnt

Been there...Nicely written!!! But the fact of the matter is with 2 major strokes under my belt at the ripe old age of 36, I was left with an inability to physically ply pen to paper & it broke my heart. I can only hope you don't ride the rails as long as I did. If you read my, "Altered States Freedom" you'll know I'm not coming from a preachy, born again place but rather one of empathy. Good Job!!!

BigLoveMuchPeace,
MisfitMe

Another richly textured ripple near three sheets in the wind...
Lady the above comment from MisfitMe is a real wonderful sharing heart to heart. I admit a little crush and we have had a bit of a tryst with each others work And I must admit I read her comment to you and was a bit floored as i did not know of this occurance and the sharing of it was so freely given in response to the depth of your work.

Just an incredible benefit to connecting here at the YPDC... I hope you enjoy.

Peace
Yang

I'm so glad you're a talented writer but also a very wise lady for your young years, you can write about anything Ladystrdust with such depth and yet you really are so rooted and down to earth! Well done again, I'm so proud of you.
