Molten Tears

Contributed by wizard on Wednesday, 15th November 2006 @ 10:49:58 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

The flame begins from a simple spark
Seen within your eye.
Soon, it grows to engulf my frigid heart.

This candle warms my soul and
Lights the way into yours;
Finally, I’m warm, though still too cold to feel.

While it flickers, it burns your memory
Into my mind and soul.
This withered flame is the only hope I have.

The dripping wax reminds me of tears,
For it is undoubtedly a symbol
That, like the candle, our love will surely fade.

This crying candle taunts me,
Screaming volumes of what I shall never have,
Never hold, never be.

So when the candle is extinguished,
And its tears have ceased,
My tears will have just begun…

And I shall lay all of my memories and hopes to rest, yet again.

Paul~ there has always been that special something in your work that touches my heart and soul my dear friend. When I read your work it's as if I can feel your every thought and emotion.
Such sadness evokes my heart to read yet another sad write from you my dear friend. I wish your heart healing my friend and may you find that special someone to make new happy memories with to last a lifetime and beyond~
Heartfelt and touching as always. Take care dearest Paul~
love, hugs n prayers,

such a tragic fear of being happy.
Trust fate, if it is meant to be, it shall...if not there will be plenty of time for pain....and hopefully that too shall pass.......

bro..great and simple pentameter in L2, seperating the first stanza.. thus, creating one, so unique: the likes of which, I've never seen from you~
altra-intuitive, I'm sure-

[happenstance of poetic excellence~]
