GROW UP ON A FARM
MILKING COWS AND ALL
RIDING DIRT BIKES IN A
FIELD IN THE MIDDLE OF FALL
GETTING UP VERY EARLY TO MAKE
SURE THE ANIMALS ALL GOT FEED BEFORE WE WENT TO SCHOOL
AND AGAIN BEFORE WE WENT TO BED
WORKING IN TOBACCO FIELDS
GETTING BLISTERS ON OUR HANDS
WE ALL WORKED TOGETHER CAUSE
DADDY AND MOMMY HAD A PLAN
THE FARM IT WAS SO BIG FOR SUCH
A SMALL FAMILY SO DADDY AND MOMMY
SOLD IT AND MOVED US HERE YOU SEE
NOW WERE HERE IN THE CITY
AND NOTHING IS THE SAME
MOMMY AWAYS WORKING AND
DADDYS OUT DOIN HIS THING
WE WERE FOUR LITTLE CHILDREN
WONDERING WHAT WENT WRONG
MOMMY AND DADDY MOVED US HERE
NOW THEIR NEVER EVER HOME
DADDY AND MOMMY GOT DIVORCE
AND NOTHING WAS THE SAME
WHEN WE LEFT THE FARM
ON THAT VERY DAY.
