Darkness is falling
the moonlight is calling
and I'm in the arms of Maria
Quietly dancing
the silence entrancing
I fall to the charms of Maria
Moonbeams and stardust
A passionate kiss just
a moment, one moment away
Whispers and sighs
lost in ebony eyes
To the sound of our heartbeats we sway
Dreams of forever
but knowing there's never
a chance this can last past the night
Still we embrace
and tomorrow we'll face
all the question of what's wrong or right
So for the moment
I'll call this atonement
for wishes that never came true
And relish the chances
for slow midnight dances
alone in the darkness with you

writing is beyond beautiful, and I’m afraid that I’m becoming insanely jealous. Lines such as:
“So for the moment
I'll call this atonement
for wishes that never came true”
seem to stick with me.
