And your eyes glazed over, like a cloud floating it's way in front of the sun
And your skin turned colder, your lips turned the blue of a midday sky in the summer
And your mouth was open, like you wanted to speak but now you'd lost your chance
I looked at the needle, it was so quick but yet such a tempting glance
Damp hair and wet skin, so exposed and vacant
the scars and the cigarette burns
that tell of your story, just lay there in all your glory
but the ones on the inside, were oh so much worse
And all I kept thinking to myself was, how come you couldn't make sense of this?
And all I kept thinking to myself was, screw me cause I couldn't help you through this
And the pain in my heart, and the sting in my veins,
and the hurt that I felt, and ache all over me
So long ago, but I still feel it in my soul
And the pain that I felt, as the the air in my lungs
was forced outta me, like a bullet from a gun
It was all done
