Am I thin enough?

Contributed by Love_is_a_battlefield on Wednesday, 15th November 2006 @ 08:36:41 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

She's falling.

She's crawling.

Trying to get back.

To the life she once had.

But the girls in the magazines.

Look so good in their size 0 jeans.

And all the boys say they're hot.

And they must have something she don't got.

So to bring her down from size nine.

She decides not to dine.

And when she does eat.

When she feels like that treat.

She goes to the bathroom.

And Locks the door shut.

She lands on the floor.

And looks at the door.

Before shoving her finger down her throat.

And when's she done.

She stands on the scale.

And even though she's lost five pounds.

She feels like a whale.

She soon whittles away.

She looks so sick.

And it's all because of this media ****.

Why can't People, Vogue, and all the rest.

Stop saying being skinny is the best.

What's wrong with being a size six?

Or nine?

Or ten?

Every girl is beautiful.

In the size they are in.

I agree, I hate it when people change themselves to be better in the eyes of society. Those eyes are blind, and are constanly putting society into the wall.

Good poem, and true.
But, the thing is for most who really suffer this problem it has nothing to do with the media or models in size 0 jeans. It's really hard to explain if you haven't been through this but it actulley runs much much deeper than that. Great write though.

as a reply to sour gurl, sure the whole being thin is part of it, but a lot of it is about control, about when things are spinning out it you want your weight to be one of the few things you can control and so you do. or try to at least. oh and good write, flowed well.
