Fight plaque not Iraq
A banner I saw on a march at the track.
No proud waving of stars and stripes or union jack
Just a determined peaceful movement and a will to avoid attack.
Millions around the world under a global banner of peace
What we want is for the tension to decrease.
All this global bickering to finally permanently cease.
To awake to the news of a positive press release.
The no longer silent majority says NO to war
In many different languages we say please don’t ignore
Our peaceful plea. There are other avenues you can explore
Don’t let waves of bloodshed wash upon our collective shore.
Will those elected to represent us listen to our plea?
Our appeal to them for a little peace and harmony
Or will they continue to make a mockery of "democracy"
I suppose we will just have to wait and see.
