The shadows were there
now they’ve left the insane
and knocked on the door of the sane.
Insanity and sanity,
how close they have become.
They couldn’t be wished away
you longed for them to leave
they make you bleed,
they make you scratch and bleed.
The little green man
that crouches on your shoulder,
he no longer has to tell you what to do
you have the brains to do it alone.
Its unbelievable, your dying again
feeling nasty today?
You punish yourself and no-one else,
oh the bitter irony
when they’re causing the pain.
