restless

Contributed by spiritwind on Tuesday, 14th November 2006 @ 12:20:26 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

Deliver words upon silver pages
our love undiscovered and restless

Your voice my poetic verse
dancing with moonbeams gleam

We can go anywhere we wish to
when poet’s hearts collide

Drifting place to place freely
emotions cannot really hide

So swiftly, it comes upon us
blowing us to courses unseen

If given one moment more
I would give anything to hear words sing.

"...We can go anywhere we wish to
when poet’s hearts collide..."

I like this and will quote you often ok I may actually steal this as TS Eliot informs us

"...Immature poets imitate; mature poets steal; bad poets deface what they take, and good poets make it into something better, or at least something different. The good poet welds his theft into a whole of feeling which is unique, utterly different from that from which it was torn; the bad poet throws it into something which has no cohesion. A good poet will usually borrow from authors remote in time, or alien in language, or diverse in interest...."
T.S. Eliot (1888–1965). The Sacred Wood: Essays on Poetry and Criticism. 1922.

It is purported he stole that from another as well...

"...I would give anything to hear words sing."

Good job

Peace
Yang
