Nocturnal November

Contributed by lancaster on Monday, 13th November 2006 @ 05:09:54 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I was gonna’ take a picture of my face and send it to you
Just so you don’t ever forget what I look like

Too bad it was dark and cold out tonight
A conversation and a long walk to nowhere would have been nice
I never did have a chance to ask you important questions about your life

For the sake and safety of argumentative undertones
Where colossal misfortunes heed to larger picked bones
To stick, and shake, until the money falls
The withdrawal, symptoms, of a caved bear’s jaw,
Recede the claw; we can all share, with pepper and salt,
A letter you wrote, is eaten with hurt, digested,
First, I was interested; the third word was “you”,
The second two, often abused, are cruel when misused,
Phantom operating tools, surgical clues, nocturnal rules,
Control of the fools, is in the hands of a vast few, all I knew,
Come to have seen, I have left here unclean, uncertain, unease,
Please me, thereafter, I demand all of you women leave!

Somewhat close to me, you at this very second are nearer then ever before
Keep it simple to pass the slow time and allow new things to arise
We risk too much for very little in a game where the looser always dies

The introspective, honest pieces can be the hardest to write, but they tend to be the most satisfying, no? Maybe it's just me, but I always tend to remember my writes of that nature... The title has a mysterious, ponderable quality to it too... I like it.
