The leaves fall like tears onto the earth
And create some kind of wonderful scene,
But the sun just seems too far away these days –
And I never got the chance
To say goodbye,
Because I lost you in the mist
Of a summer storm.
No I never took the chance
to love you
with the exactness that you deserved.
I want to stop and make the world stop with me
Because it’s not right that everyone else can move on.

| Regret at what is lost is by our failure to see the potential is always painful. You captured that sense of kicking oneself in the butt with clarity. Makes me stop and think. Thank you for sharing. |

Kei? Please believe me when I say that I'm not the type to run about this place dropping a "this brought tears" on every other poem I read. But hun.... this brought tears. It's impossible to read this and not feel it. And... it hurts. And truth be told... it scared the hell out of me... for at the heart of it lies my greatest fear. Oh hun... how I wish you didn't know it.
