The girl

Contributed by Davinah on Friday, 10th November 2006 @ 07:48:58 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

The girl with the longest fingernails
Scratching the surface of unexplored worlds
Is there an upside to you nether regions
Or do we leave things unattended?

The lipstick traces on your blouse
Pink and glossy remains of desperation
Would they clash with the red of your desire
The noose bleed, witness of your attempt to freedom

Does happiness coincide with your agony
There’s no room for two in one world of suffering
The mystery of it all is written in your troubled eyes
Red-rimmed, surrounded by blackness

The marks on your body tell your unknown story
No one will listen because no one cares
Only the ones with the trained eye will read between your lines
As bits of your story unfold and paint and unclear picture
Forever your death remains a mystery

This piece has the earmark of being written by a CSI by day, poet at heart. It was really well conceived and has a forensic quality...you present the mystery well.

I look forward to reading more of your work.

Peace
Yang
