Cold of Death

My vision clouds
Mists all around
Where have you disappeared?
Won't you be found?
Stumbling while I wade
Through this inescapable maze
Of dreamless sleep
No sign of your warm gaze
The cold of death
Has left its touch
The body cremated
Of it, not left much
The void that is left behind
By the absence
Of words that resonated
With your pure essence
It's so hard to accept
I don't wish to know
To face the truth
And let go
Pushing reality away
Shielding myself
Under the cover of lies
I repress those thoughts deep inside
The nightmare has begun
The images fleeting
Of times well spent
While we were still meeting
Someone please tell me
That you will return
Please ... come back
This is one lesson I can't learn
Why did you leave us?
Why did you go?
Why wasn't it foreseen?
Why didn't we know?
You can't really have gone
It can't be possible
You must still be breathing
But alas ... that's impossible!
Shaken to the core
Shocked into silence
As logic wins
And in sinks the violence
The cold of death
Has left its mark
Permanent, irrevocable
Leaving lives dark.

I know how you feel... I lost my brother 2 years ago and sometimes I still cannot believe that he is really gone.
I wish you all the best.
Hugs,
~D~

Loss whatever the form is something that causes such a void it seems hopeless to ever recover. But we human beings are remarkable in that do recover and go on. May each day bring you closer to re-finding your path.
Peace~ |
