Never saw the black ice, as I skid off life's road
Got blinded by the sunshine, now I have this heavy load
A burden on my soul, and a scar upon the heart
Because the sunshine gave me warmth, I tore my love apart
Crawling from the wreckage, but surrounded without light
Heart is bleeding, trust is damaged, on this hellish night
