I watched the way you changed
As I saw you turn and walk away
You fought for this so long, now you're falling apart for it
She pulled your wings and you stood by as your soul cried out
I saw you change
I saw your heart turn black as the dead of night
I hope you learned to not love what cannot love you back
Left broken and numb, left tattered and torn
As the stars spread apart and the skies opened
Revealed your innerself, she stood there with the knife
Twisting it into your heart
And you stood by, only watching with a blank stare and a smile
No sincerity in her voice when she said she loved you
Just two lifeless bodies ****ing your lives away
And your heart still melts when she smiles

i love it...did you show this to your friend? simply beautiful...especially how all throughout it, it all seems negative, about how he shouldn't love her...and then the last line, "...your heart still melts when she smiles" lol, it's almost irony. beautiful.
