what if i told you

Contributed by stevenescalante on Wednesday, 8th November 2006 @ 03:55:46 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

If i told you i was going to war would you cry?
even if i died would you keep your hopes high?
if you were an angel would you watch over me in my dreams?
would you wrap your wings around me at the height of all things?
what if i told you to fly me away to a better place?
a place where no one could discriminate against race,
would you still be down with me even if i ran into trouble?
if i showed you passionate love would you pay it back double?
would you stick with me through all the aches and pains?
or would you be my loving umbrella which covers me when it rains?
if i was broke and needed money would that be the thing that really mattered?
would you heal my wounds if i came to you all bruised and battered?
if i needed someone to hold would you find me and give me a hug?
would you ignore the fact that your mom accuses me of being a thug?
would you take my side in an argument even if you knew i was wrong?
if i was having a bad day would you sing me a song?
Tell me if you love me and i'll tell you to,
Because just being beside you is a dream come true..
