“A Day In The News”
by: William Weinraub

A day in the news, a day in the news.
Flick through channels, Flick through channels, stop on the news.
the headlines are bleeding with the worlds suffering blues.
Take a look at this world and analyze its corruption
The things we overlook will be humanity’s own inevitable destruction.
Today in the headlines, our daily life wont suffice
We live through rape, terrorism, murder, and we all pay a price.
Sometimes I feel like certain things aint enough
When religious pastors are looking, at child porno snuff
A person claims to devote their life to god,
But their only real concerns, are about little boys and they’re rods
A fake shield to blind the perceptions of our people
Demonic priests are seducing our children, to the darkness of evil
People wonder why people keep abandoning religion,
Could it be because religion has been raping our children?!
Same things are discussed time after time,
That our government is decaying and we are all going blind.
That America is dying, that its out of its prime,
That our fights are meaningless, just on an uphill climb…
We vote and we vote, while we all vote your change
Our mothers and fathers keep talking, as they’re raged with complaints,
Because the ***** that isn’t registering inside of our brains
Are that innocent people are out there, being murdered and slain.
You listen to people, as they yap and they yap
About Bush and his ulterior motives in Iraq
All I hear is ignorance, that our politics are corrupt
Its not the politics, it’s the people you ignorant *****
Democracy works it just isn’t observed,
Our people have a choice yet their in the army reserves!
Defending the rights of people we don’t know
The right to speech, freedom and the places to go.
Turn off the news just for a second,
cant help but think that our lives are in question.
That our demons are out there, and they need to be reckoned
Without aggression all we are left with is positive discretion.
***** the media and its overwhelming power to control, we make our own choices, just as an individual soul.

Wow. There are people out there with really big hearts,(meaning you) Religious demons really trouble me too. Infact, I'm having a hard time finding a church for myself and kids, because my trust in "spiritual people" is not there. That is horrible to say, but true. I know I will find a church soon, I am just taking my time. Thanks for the GOOD word.
