The Trip Down

Contributed by POOBEAR on Monday, 29th July 2002 @ 06:23:39 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

My cries for help, only whispers.
I never learned to speak in volumes.
There is no "poster child" for this pain.
So here I stand.
Nice enough drop.
I hope it's high enough,
to put me six feet under.
I hope the trip down takes
a lot less time, than it took,
for the real solution to arrive.
Oh look, a crowd has gathered below.
I really did not want that all important,
"fifteen minutes of fame".
Well if that doesnt just beat everything!
To find in the end that I do have a talent.
Too bad though,
being a chalk outline model,
is only a one time gig.

Such a sad poem. I almost did kill myself once, it was then I learned how important everything was to me. This is not something you want to dream about, because one day it will come a reality. I have learned this the hard way, and I am lucky that I have my friend Loni. I owe my life to her. So please never concider this an answer.

But your poetry speaks in volumes. Keep writing and people will keep listening, even if they're not always the ones you want to hear you.
Keep writing to me too please Lynn , to help you through this. I worry as well you know..
Love you lots
Chrissie xx

Wow, I wish I could offer more words to console but I am speechless. Thank you for this.
