What Matters To Me

Topic: NaturePoetry

What matters to me,
in life day after day.
A smile and a wink,
watching children at play.

A bird taking flight,
soaring free in the sky.
A clear running stream,
jumping fish eating flies.

A field of bright blooms,
colors strewn everywhere.
Wild rabbits playing,
without even a care.

Butterflies flying,
from roses to daisies.
Cows in a field,
relaxing lazily.

Frogs in a pond,
leaping to and fro.
Watching waves of grass,
as the wind starts to blow.

Eating ripe fruit,
from a big apple tree.
Standing atop a high hill,
beholding the view to be seen.

Taking a dip,
in a cool swimming hole.
Catching some fish,
with a cane fishing pole.

Watching the clouds,
seeing imaginary things.
Listening in content,
to the robin redbreast sing.

Watching the colors,
as day turns into night.
Stars starting to twinkle,
what a beautiful sight.

Heading back home,
as the day comes to an end.
When tomorrow comes,
enjoy it all again.
