Affliction known as desire...

paint the sky with matchsticks
Drowning in the fumes of carnal agonies and idle footprints
Forever will I cower in the east, taking refuge in shame
Waiting for my scarred soul to blemish with sundown
Oh deliverer of solace
thief of my own ambience
I crave smothering darkness
to fullfill my astray bliss
for
captured is my mind, my soul
And though you may not have the key to my heart
you have all the keys to my smile
you are the reddest rose I’ll never pick
and yet i still doubt the taste of sorrow...
Scarlet and black will always make the latter
I painted my irony nonetheless
and prayed for some shade of red
haha **** yea i prayed,
and this is what i heard...
too bad silence is hard to read
and like a birthday candle lit to tease,
hope flickers....and is again blown out
likewise i return to be tortured by this daily charade
to be blown out by you one last time
