Run Like Hell

Contributed by TwistedCage on Thursday, 2nd November 2006 @ 10:00:46 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

The hatred for your God
runs inside my veins.
A beacon af false hope
can drive a man insane.

(Drive a man insane)

Now, hear a sincere voice
nothing there to gain.
The blood on that cross
will lead you to the flames.

(Lead you to the flames)

Ohhhh, the night rarely fails.
Ohhhh, grab your soul and
run like Hell!

My hatred for your God
is nothing less than shame.
Once a believer
until I saw the flame

(Until I saw the flame)

of fire a brimstone.
It drove this man insane.
Your beacon of false hope
spilled his blood in vain.

(Spilled his blood in vain)

Ohhhh, the night rarely fails.
Ohhhh, grab your soul and
run like Hell!

this might offend you, but i mean well...

Once a believer
until I saw the flame

does this mean that life dealt you a bad hand so you ducked out on God? just curious...i'm not trying to step on any toes

everything is hidden yet justified,
shameless, wild and free,
b to the mother***** steel
keep it real

Doesn't offeind me in the least.
I don't do religon but am tottally into God.
I do beleive we make our own heaven or hell right here on Planet Earth.
Still we are all intitled to our own oppopnions and beleifs.
I do respect your right to beleive what you wish.
Altho I am curious to why you lost your beleif still it's none of my buiseness.
huggs,
emy

I should probably clarify some things here. I'll post one of my previous PM 's in regard to this peice.

"I wrote this over two years ago when me and "God" were butting heads. I've since found a good measure of peace, and security in the knowledge of God. I'm not a full on Christian, and much like Ziggy Marely "Love is my religion", as Love is the ultimate maniifestation of God, imo.

The lyrics only serve to make others think, and challenge what they themselves believe. They may seem somewhat blasphemous, but until a person challenges the certainty of God, and what it entails, I don't think they can fully appreciate the true value of knowing.

Besides, the shock value of a twisted mind offers a good deal of entertainment. (I would think, anyway)

"Run Like Hell" reflects my mind two years ago, and through that mentality, I found my faith. I expect those who read these lyrics to come to their own conclusions, as nothing is cut and dried when it comes to religious thought.

Much Love,

I, of Muslim faith, truly believe in God and fear Him.
If you set your mind free from all your previous beliefs about God and observe nature very closely, you might come across signs of His existence. Not that I am asking you to become a believer; just offering some advice.

ammar.
