Less and Less Until it has Left

Contributed by mangos on Thursday, 2nd November 2006 @ 07:35:03 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Come one, come all
Into the daydream
Enter with no risk
Bountiful are the moments
A safe-haven
Hidden from common sense

To subsidize the love
Allocated
Evenly distributed
Fairly gotten
Earned with merit
Produced by effort
Paid for on credit

Why is it when you turn your head do I think of her not you
This was once a lonely park bench,
Now she obscures my view
Now I am shaking, and shivering in my pants,
As the icy air turns frigid from just one glance

Erratic, in that the surprise engagement
Was abrupt, and sporadic
Her charm was explosive, waiting to erupt
Charismatic-
None of it overly dramatic
It wasn’t love
Love as we all know is tragic
This was more intense
I was impressed
Such eagerness
With candor and openness
Honesty about dreams and perversions
How has this love story become such a pivotal diversion

Refresh my memory
What was it you said
You were possessed
Under duress
Under your dress
A snake crawled to caress
The bare walls
Of your loneliness

Allow me to recollect
And feel free to interject
Anything you feel relevant
Or is deserving of my respect
Or are you serving
This raw meal of neglect
To someone who feels
Only what others reject
Who only thinks
About the death
He protects

Choose your lines wisely
When the curtains come up
And the spotlight has your face
Think of what will make me smile
And with eloquence deliver me my fate

Though the tears have ceased
My cry intensifies
I seek, an uncertain peace
A bargain once left uncircumcised
Cut and removed
The foreskin aches
Painfully before it dies

Predict the future
To no avail
Obsess on the consequence
Of nights spent alone in dark places
In and out of sleep
Mounds to heaps,
To plies of dreamy debris
