Our Special Place

Contributed by Love_love_kyo on Wednesday, 1st November 2006 @ 03:10:53 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

I walked down the old roads tonight, walked out to the place that reminds me of time gone by. My treasure chest of dreams and memories cherished but long lost in the sands of time...I walked out to that place as far away from civilization as possible, through the cold, in the rain thats kissing my hungry lips...azure has turned to deep black, impenetrable black, veiled in mist, and twinkling with tears from the sky. My own tears have joined them, in this deep black. No matter how much we might wish, we cant get it back, what we lost when we left this place. What we lost when the treasure chest was left to be lost in sand, grains of my memories...
I stood and looked out into the vast nothing, the calm, the cold, alone and away...I found myself waiting for you here. My head tells me that you wont come tonight, you are somewhere far away from the nothing, deep in the ocean of people that you love so much, that fills you with life.
My heart covers my rational thoughts with the same fine mist that stops the deep black from swallowing me in this place, waves crashing, rain kissing so that I might meet your lips from so far away. If I turned around would I see myself reflecting in your eyes? Would I see the way the moonlight chases the shadows of you face, naming you an angel in theifs clothing? If I felt myself falling into the deep black, would you be right there to catch me?
But there was no you tonight, only the black, my thoughts misguided by an everbeating heart. My voice remains to sing for you even if you cant hear it right now, even if you couldnt feel my mouth on yours, gently in the rain, in that place, that place that is so special to me...Your scent is still on my clothes, the sweetness of you lingers inside me...I wonder, did you see the same moon as I tonight? Did you see her in her best dress, glowing, waiting in the deep black, kissing the rain in that place so far from civilization? Did you see me within her?
I met myself tonight in place of you, I saw the me that has become. Every faith in my heart, every song on my tongue, every feather youve given me that has made me wings...I saw them tonight, waiting for you. If only these wings where real and I could fly to you, would you come back with me to that place? Just for tonight? I want to kiss you in the rain, under this sky..I want to sing, just for you. Kiss me.
