Trust be my torch, but I can walk in darkness,
Be my castle, but I am my own fortress.
Be my lover’s eyes, ever shining brightly
But I can go on, even breaking apart nightly.
Trust be an outstretched hand, but I can go alone,
Be my music, but I’d rather listen to the world’s monotone.
Trust be my hope, my faith
But for a savior I’d rather wait.
Trust be my bridge from here to there,
But my feet can at least take me somewhere.
Trust be my strength, but I can survive.
But trust, without you, I can’t live properly this life.
