the speed of life

Contributed by anesthetic on Tuesday, 31st October 2006 @ 07:59:25 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Life is but a half lit abyss
falling in to the same cycle
the same words are listless
in silence the fall begins alone

people fly in and out of focus
some reach out for want of touch
beat them off they are but locus
again in the cycle you fall alone

fight against fate it betrays you again
gives you a life
for which you can find no name
and together now you fall in love

of the endless abyss you see a ledge
see the lives taken by it
you realise then in life you were on the sidelines
fall clinging tightly to those near you

fight against it try to fall up
fall into it hard it cripples you so
watch from that ledge your family
will them to fall far more slowly then you could

turn to look behind
find yourself in darkness
your family in the light
blink the speed of light has passed you.
