Midnight masquerade in a castle by the sea
The soft serenade that she played onto me
Her eyes were like knives of ice cold fear
Her voice like a songbird that sings in my ear
I looked on in awe at this mistress of sin
Though she wanted my soul, my heart from within.
Playing her mind-tricks, her gasping young lure
Leading me to my silent sepulcher
Headstrong and blind to the succubae trait
I wandered into this young mistress’ bait
Intrepid, wide eyed, and welcoming fate
Steady and strong with a firm iron gait
In verse she spoke words of beauty beheld
Winnowing chants of meaningless meld.
Unsteady and charmed, I fell mute like the dead
With Many a thoughts now shrouding my head.
All I could do was continue to gaze
At the garments she wore, awake and amazed.
My breathing had stopped, my heart skipped a beat
Such elegant dress from head unto feet.
A black satin corset of exquisite design
With indigo flowers that climbed up a vine
On either side of her body like the devil’s divine
Stretching on upwards in a circling line.
With eyes on the dress that flowed all around
Like the waters of Lethe, my soul never found
For I looked on as though, as memory serves
I lost all my senses and forgot all my nerves.
Playing my heart though a playground of pain
She lured me, my mind, my soul gone insane
Teasing me deeply, and luring me in
Leaving me blind to the bestial sin.
The night strove on long like a haunted dreamland
Dancing forever, our hearts hand and hand.
The ball never ended, the minuet never stilled
Masked and undying, eternally willed.

This is the best piece I read on this site for a while now! Such beat, flow and a clever use of English to sum up a night with a black widow temptree-genius! Why has no one else commented, not read anything better today!!! |
