Give me your love, said the princess in a burst
In the times that will follow, even and the worst
You should! Love me only to look, to shine, to share
And I will give away my life for you, I dare
But love is the sign of two souls breaking apart
Love is the vision of a little girl's dead heart
Love is the sound of the sympathizing birds
Love is the sorrow in last men's words
Give me your faith, said god standing above the sky
I shall guide you trough the sinless path, comply
You ought to! Believe me to teach, to judge, to rule
And no other man will think you are a fool.
But faith is the sign of the envy over your shoulder
Faith is the vision of the world getting colder
Faith is the sound of the sympathizing birds
Faith is the sorrow in last men's words
Give me your trust, said the king on his throne
For what you must bear the terror all alone
You must! Trust me to know, to guide, to seek
And no drop of your faith shall ever leak
But trust is the last sign of the evil arc
Trust is the vision of betrayal in the dark
Trust is the sound of the sympathizing birds
Trust is the sorrow in last men's words
Give me your love, your faith, your trust
Like the darkest sky screaming for a gust
Trust me to hear, to see, to feel for real
And I shall forge a connection of arctic steel
But trust is the sign of child's faith stolen
Trust is the vision of all the tears swollen
Trust is the sound of the sympathizing birds
Trust is the sorrow in last men's words
Give me love, give me faith, give me trust
You should, you ought to, you must
And our souls will emerge within the dust
Look in his eyes, its all lies.
